I think the number of technical / vocational high schools compared to strictly academic high schools is unfair
In a city of 4 high schools 1 is technical / vocational 3 are strictly academic
I think if it was one academic and 3 vocational than this would help better prepare students for the real world and get them certified in a trade so students can start a decent job after high school.

Yes it is unfair.
High schools do a decent job of preparing kids to go to college.
If they aren't going to college, they spent time learning some things they might not immediately need, and didn't learn a lot of stuff they do immediately need, like vocational skills. The German system is interesting on this account
