Answer:
Depends on the individual.I know guys thats been doing it 20+ years
and would not even consider them as a decent aprentice.others pick it
up and you would think they were diong it for all their life and they
are only 24 yrs old. All depends on the individual.
In my area in the southeast a machinist starts at about 7.50 amn hour,
or thereabouts. Other parts of the country varies greatlyDepends, you can go to a trade or technical college or possibly a
machinist course in the military, others just started out sweeping the
floor or doing simple little jobs and worked their way into it.
