Question:
What Are the Best ways to figure out what career/education (college) is right for you?
Answer:
I have two kids (23 and 22) and have just completed college myself after a 20 year navy career. Your best bet in my opinion is two-fold:
1. Go to the career center at your local junior college and take a career aptitude test. This test will compare your skills and knowledge with your likes and dislikes and suggest possible careers and degrees.
2. Think about the things that you really like to do, and then research what careers might allow you to do those things. You might be surprised what you find.
Try to avoid just "trying" different things. College is expensive and experimentation may just prolong the process until you are no longer motivated.
